Inspiring Bright Futures
Big futures start early—the Ontario Career Lab, powered by HIEC, is now offering career coaching for Grade 9 and 10 students, helping them explore exciting careers and uncover what inspires them.
Career Discovery and Development
At HIEC, we help individuals discover their potential and connect with the people, programs, and pathways that shape successful careers—for students, job seekers, and employers alike.
Inspiring Career Connections
For over 35 years, HIEC has connected educators, employers, and students to inspire career exploration and workforce development across Ontario. Through hands-on programs, mentorship, and partnerships, we help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world opportunity.
Supporting Skilled Trades
A free online community connecting job seekers pursuing the skilled trades with employers across Ontario. Managed by HIEC, ApprenticeSearch.com helps grow Ontario’s skilled workforce through job matching, training resources, and career pathway support.
Empowering Student Futures
Ontario Career Lab is HIEC’s volunteer-driven mentorship program, bringing professionals into classrooms to share real career stories. Through interactive events and workshops, students gain insights, confidence, and connections that help them explore their future careers.

"The Women as Career Coaches event made me feel much less anxious about the future, especially navigating academics as a woman of colour. Inspiring, insightful, and truly a necessary and wonderful experience."
