Avenues to Apprenticeship was a free, 18-week program offered by ApprenticeSearch.com for racialized youth interested in starting a career in the skilled trades.

The program featured career awareness learning, including skills, interests, and personality assessments, to help youth focus on the right opportunities for them.

The Avenues to Apprenticeship Program included paid employment training and support, quality employment experience, financial support for job-related expenses, access to mentors and technology required for training and job searching.

This program was designed for young people interested in a career in the skilled trades but who didn’t know how to get started, had experienced barriers to employment in the skilled trades, and wanted to gain knowledge and experience in the skilled trades before pursuing a pre-apprenticeship program.
