The first step in career planning is knowing what your interests, skills, and values are. We want you to enjoy career planning, so it’s important that you choose a career path that is in line with these 3 aspects.
Use the documents below (feel free to download them!) to help you navigate through your interests, skills, and values and allow it to inform you on which career paths you should be investigating.
For example, are you interested in animals? Are you skilled in communication? Do you value health? You may want to consider a career path in animal care such as veterinarian, animal grooming and walking services, marine biology, or animal shelter services.

HIEC is an innovative not-for-profit social enterprise focusing on partnership, mentorship and workforce development. For over 30 years, we’ve been working to build stronger connections between educators, employers and the students who will make up our future workforce.

We deliver an interactive and informative Career Awareness Program, facilitate meaningful experiential learning opportunities, host inspiring community events, and manage multiple online communities with a focus on workforce development.
